Changes to the Australian Standard 3760:2010,

Recently the AS/NZS3760 “In service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment” Standard has been updated. Some key areas are worth noting as they affect the information required on your test tags.

Information printed on test tags – AS/NZS 3760:2010 now states and specifies that the test tag must have a test date and retest date. They must have the name of the person / company performing the test. They must be durable, non reusable, non metallic and must also have the standard in which it relates to i.e.; AS/NZS 3760 printed on the tag.

New Equipment – Equipment that is new and entering into service for the first time and has not been tested and tagged in accordance with AS/NZ3760:2010 shall have a tag applied, that includes the following information:

Wording “New to service” Date of entry into service Date when the Retest is due Wording “This appliance has not been tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3760”
